Dorstenia bahiensis is an interesting plant with strange looking receptacles. At maturity, seeds shoot ballistically from the mature flower/fruit heads, and they germinate readily whenever the land on soil or other moist substrate.
A quirky, shade-loving plant with glossy leaves and button-like flower discs. When ripe, those button heads pop their seeds like tiny popcorn, launching them across the yard. Compact at just 6-12 inches, it makes a playful groundcover or a fun conversation piece in a pot.

Peruvian Lily is very showy red flower that grows from tropical bulbs that are very easy to grow and bloom. They go dormant for the winter. When dormant, keep the soil slightly moist and the pot in a shady location.

This is a shade loving Euphorbia. Grows to about 28" tall. It is shaped like a miniature palm tree. The leaves are covered with a milky white bloom that adds to the interest. It is very easy to grow the plant.
Grown often as a houseplant that is very ornamental and easy to grow even for beginners. Unlike many succulents, E. leuconeura is less susceptible to overwatering issues; it doesn't mind dry air and is very shade tolerant.
Euphorbia leuconeura is endemic to Madagascar. It is threatened by habitat loss. The natural habitat is rocky areas in the dark forests.

Tricolor variegated Bloodleaf hybrid, a great plant for both sun or shade. The variegated pink/crimson, green and white colored leaves compliment other plants. Arabian Tea jasmine. This variety is vining and fast growing; tolerates shade.
Called pikake in Hawaii, this is the plant used to flavor the jasmine tea and making perfumes. Perfect houseplant, takes both sun or shade, Jasminum Sambac is a beautiful fragrant everbloomer for your home and garden. Maid of Orleans has single flowers of rich fragrance on woody vining shrubs with wide oval dark green leaves; considered the the easiest to bloom indoors, since it can tolerate shady conditions. It is the famous "Jasminum sambac Multiplex" in French perfume; traditionally the Chinese use this form to make aromatic jasmine tea. This variety has vining habit, and unless trimmed, can shoot several feet long branches.Collect the flowers for your morning jasmine tea!

Giant kalanchoe, Donkey Ears; Life Plant; Miracle Leaf; Good Luck Leaf, Tree Of Life... This rare variety brought from Thailand has large fleshy leaves 1-2 ft in length. Leaves and stems are covered with silvery coating. Like other kalanchoes, leaflets form easily, they are fuzzy and silver. Easy to grow just from one leaf set on top of moist soil. Very fast growing, drought tolerant small shrub. Tolerates almost any conditions.

This plant is a seedling, 2-3 years from flowering. Champaka, or Joy Perfume Tree, with orange / yellow flowers, is regarded as one of the most sacred trees of India and tropical Asia. Its flowers exude a divine fragrance that is exceedingly pleasing to the Gods... and women!
The flowers from this tree are used to make the world's most expensive perfume Joy and smell like fruity bubble gum, you can't stop sticking your nose in this flower! In the ground, it grows to 15-20' in height, but it can be easily kept in a pot. It is a tropical tree, however established plants can tolerate light freeze. Yellow Champaca is much more cold tolerant than var. Alba.
This is hands down the best perfume tree for a Southern landscape.

Yuca root, Cassava, Manihot, Tapioca, Manioc. A tropical root vegetable, grown as a shrub in temperate zones of Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America, that is harvested for its root and leaves. High in starch, it is a plant that contains low levels of protein in the root and high levels in the green leaves. At times, it is mistakenly referred to as Yucca, which is a non-edible plant from the Agave plant family.

Monstera adansonii (friedrichsthalii) hybrid, possibly with M. obliqua. Window Leaf. An unusual form of Monstera with smaller leaves that have many holes. Makes an interesting indoor specimen. This is a hybrid variety. There are many hybrids in cultivation between Monstera adansonii, Monstera obliqua, Monstera friedrichsthalii.
The plants we have for sale are propagated from the exact plant you see on this picture. We do not have a named hybrid for it if the type of hybrid matters to you.

The flowers are almost unnoticeable. The berries are very showy and come right after. It fruits for several months non stop. Mature fruit is edible. In its native countries, this plant is widely used medicinally. From book "Messages from the Gods. A Guide to the useful plants of Belize": "To treat babies who can not sleep, often accompanied with crying, especially when they have been frightened by chickens..." Very useful plant especially for those who are afraid of chickens!

Chinese Money Plant is a perfect indoor plant that is famous for its lore of attracting money into your life. It is a highly sought-after houseplant and also known as the missionary plant, lefse plant, pancake plant, UFO plant. Known for its charming beauty and dwarf size, it is a perfect addition to the windowsill garden. The round, shiny, peltate leaves become mounded as the plant matures and give the appearance of large, green coins stacked on top of one another. Root Beer Plant, Acuyo, False Kava-Kava. Close relative of Piper methysticum (Kava-Kava), and Piper nigrum (Black Pepper), this herb originated from Tropical America and grows also in the South Pacific. Large-leaved perennial, known for its leaves, which are used for their spicy aromatic scent and flavor, some liken to root beer, others to anise-clove. This species is easily identified by its huge leaves which can grow over a foot long in older specimens. The leaves are chopped and used for flavoring, as well as used whole, as wrappings for meats, tamales, etc. P. auritum is very often confused with Piper methysticum (Kava-Kava), and probably has some similar effects.
