Heat Pack is a must if temperature drops below 40F in your area. Large orders require 2-3 packs. The Aristolochia gigantea will inspire a sense of marvel to anyone who gazes upon it. This truly spectacular blossom produces a pouch that in some cultivars is almost 2 feet long and more than a foot across. Ivory veins network across a burgundy velvet background as the flower unfurls. Heart-shaped, light green leaves, about 6 inches in length, adorn this easy-to-grow vine. The plant blooms at a young age and grows in full sun or partial shade.
In some sources, Aristolochia gigantea is considered as Aristolochia grandiflora var. Hookeri. The cultivation of Aristolochias is undemanding. Sun lovers that appreciate some shade in hotter inland areas, they adapt to any soil that drains well. Any pruning necessary to contain or shape the plants should be done in late winter or early spring. Cultivation is easy, and growth can be tamed.

Aristolochia gigantea var. Brasiliensis is one of the most outrageous flowers in the world. This species from Brazil has huge, over ten inches in length lemon-scented flowers and exhibits an elaborate pattern of white and mottled reddish brown. Since it is not a vigorous vine, it can easily be trained on a stake, trellis or even a hanging basket. A most interesting rare collectible.

Dutchmans Pipe, Bejuco de Santiago. Pale green pitcher-shaped flowers striped tan with a long tail. Deeply lobed glossy leaves with light veins. It is quite adaptable and can be grown in subtropical areas, does well in low light conditions and can be grown indoors.

Ylang Ylang vine - strong fragrance of flowers resembles lemon candy and melon. Woody climber, can become dense evergreen shrub bearing extremely fragrant canary yellow or light green flowers, turning yellow with age. Absolutely intoxicating fragrance! Once picked flowers are very long lasting and hold the scent for days, if kept in water, permeating an entire room.

Climbing Ylang-Ylang, Manorangini, Hara-champa, Kantali champa. A brother of a famous Artabotrys hexapetalus, this plant can grow as a large woody vine or trimmed as a shrub. Flowers are very fragrant, with lemon-like scent.
