Winter Mexican variety is one of most cold hardy varieties, Guatemalan x Mexican origin. Mature trees may withstand temperatures in the mid 20s. Oblong fruit, 12 to 18 Oz, thick green skin, medium seed. Tree bears in December-January. Very vigorous tree, bears heavily and regularly.

Tikal Guava is an excellent cultivar with large yellow-skinned fruit (about the size of a baseball) and sweet, pink flesh. The tree is very compact and fruits on and off year-round and may begin fruiting at a young age. The more sun and warmth they receive, the more fruit they will produce. Tikal is an early bloomer and it makes a fine subject for containers where it can be easily maintained between 6 - 8 ft tall. This pest-and disease-resistant fruit is a great selection for the beginning fruit gardener.

Jaboticaba. One of the most popular native fruit of Brazil. Grape-like purple fruit with a thick skin and delicious melting pulp somewhat resembling Northern Black Currant in flavor. Small white flowers grow right on the trunk ("cauliflora" means "flowers growing on trunk). Trees grow very slowly and due to small leaves and dwarfish growth habit are often used as bonsai. Some old bonsai specimens can fruit.

Jasmine Sambac Belle of India (var. Elongata). Very popular variety with long narrow petals. In India, it also goes under name Mangalore Malli, Uduppii Malli, or Shankarapuram Malli. Everybody wants this one because it has such a fine structure and elegant flowers.

Jasmine sambac Grand Duke - The biggest flower variety, the Grandest of all Jasminum sambac. Flowers are 1-1.5 inch wide, triple, like little carnations. Blooms profusely from April through June, then sporadically during the year. Dark green leaves are very ornamental. This variety grows as a medium size bush, very slow growing. Trim regularly otherwise it may become leggy. Tolerates shade, great container plant, can be grown as indoor plant too, providing enough light. The more light, the more flowers you will get. Keep somewhat on dry side: sambacs don't like too much water and bloom better in dry conditions. If grown indoors, watch for insects (spider mites). Fertilize once a month during warm season.

Jasmine sambac Mysore Mulli. Fast growing variety with highly fragrant double flowers. Can be grown as a vine or trimmed as a dense shrub. This variety is a vining shrub, pretty fast growing, that requires constant pruning to keep compact shape. If you let it go - the plant will grow as a large vine. Flowers are double and heavily scented. Blooms profusely provided full sun. The most reliable bloomer of all sambacs. Will tolerate some shade with less blooming. Perfect houseplant, takes both sun or shade, Jasminum Sambac is a beautiful fragrant everbloomer for your home and garden.

Carrie Mango - the flavor is by far the most outstanding feature of this variety. It has absolutely no fiber and extremely rich in flavor, sweet, aromatic and a pure pleasure to eat.
