The Vivid Red Cherry Miniature Azalea is a very cold hardy, compact, evergreen beauty that brings a burst of color to your garden throughout the year. A dwarf ginger that is hard to find, but well worth it. Intermittently throughout the year, bright golden-orange cones will appear above the glossy dark green, maroon-backed leaves. Individual flowers will open and last for a period of about two weeks during each bloom cycle. Has a very upright growth habit. An excellent indoor plant, it should be kept out of direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves, and should be kept in a container even outdoors, as they are very cold-tender and must be brought inside in the fall. When repotting, take care that only the roots are burried in the soil or potting medium, as it is a bit of an epiphyte (air plant) and the rhyzome must remain above ground level.

This is a shade loving Euphorbia. Grows to about 28" tall. It is shaped like a miniature palm tree. The leaves are covered with a milky white bloom that adds to the interest. It is very easy to grow the plant.
Grown often as a houseplant that is very ornamental and easy to grow even for beginners. Unlike many succulents, E. leuconeura is less susceptible to overwatering issues; it doesn't mind dry air and is very shade tolerant.
Euphorbia leuconeura is endemic to Madagascar. It is threatened by habitat loss. The natural habitat is rocky areas in the dark forests.

This lychee relative has stiffer leaves, more wind resistance and fruits more prolifically and regularly than its famous cousin. The flesh is sweet and is usually eaten fresh but can be canned or dried. The crisp skin is easy to remove and the white flesh has a texture and sweetness reminiscent of litchi.

Giselle (35-6) is from Zills breeding program and was a seedling of a mango called Tower. It was described as a juice mango and is named after Gary's wife. The fruit is medium-sized, ovoid-shaped, developing a reddish blush on the skin. The flesh is dark yellow/orange, and is indeed quite juicy but not very fibrous. Decadent flavor is of the Indian/West Indian sort and tastes like an outstanding Graham mango when that variety is on point. It has a small polyembryonic seed.
The tree is a highly vigorous, upright grower with dense canopy. It is a later mid-season mango for us ripening primarily in July, sometimes into August. Unfortunately, though it is a good producer, the fruit is very prone to mango bacterial black spot, but Giselle may be a great mango for people in southern California or central/West Florida.

Po Pyu Kalay is a unique lemon-flavored mango from the exotic nation of of Myanmar (formerly Burma). The large vigorous tree produces small, yellow, elongated, somewhat pointed fruit with a bright lemon-yellow, moist, spicy, flesh. Commercially it has been dubbed the Lemon Meringue mango for its aroma.
