Origin: Tropical West Africa. A curious flower! Wild and unusual floral display arrives from late spring to fall on this shrubby vine. Clusters of cream-colored flowers bedecked with long, curly streamers and a rust-tinted throat. Occurring off-and-on throughout the year, flowering is heaviest in spring and summer. The faintly fragrant flowers are short trumpets with five curled petals that are very light pink (aging to creamy light yellow) with a reddish brown base. The tips of the petals become narrowed and elongated, forming a twisting, sticky string that dangles down from the flower and touches lower leaves. During winter might drop leaves.

Red belles, Burgundy Bells. An upright, medium to tall shrub with heads of burgundy flowers. Blooms summer to autumn over a long period. More flowers during cooler period. These species and hybrids are more tolerant to heat. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and is suitable for growing indoors.

Beautiful striped red-and-white flowers are highly fragrant. Fragrance is the most intense you can imagine and is much better than all jasmines and gardenias all together.
The plant is very similar to plumeria in growth habit (and is close related to Plumeria). It grows into a small tree. Unlike Plumeria, it is evergreen in warm climate.
Beautiful mauve colored leaves are very ornamental.
Slow growing, compact plant, great for containers. Very undemanding and has low water needs.

Cannon ball Tree. Rare tree with a bizarre fruit that can be seen only in tropical botanic gardens and a few larger private gardens. It is a very tall tree which sheds its large, elliptical leaves several times a year. The pinkish-red flowers grow directly from the trunk near the base of the crown and are strongly scented in the evening. Blooms year round. Flowers are followed by large, globular fruit, reddish-brown in color, which do indeed resemble cannonballs and remain on the tree for many months. On older trees there may be dozens of fruits and flower clusters at the same time.

Spathodea campanulata, commonly known as the African Tulip Tree, is highly regarded for its striking beauty. Its large, vibrant orange-red or yellow-orange flowers create a spectacular display, attracting pollinators like bees and birds. The lush foliage adds to its visual appeal. Additionally, the African Tulip Tree is valued for its medicinal properties and is often used in traditional medicine. Medium size tree. Blooms winter through spring with gorgeous tulip-like flowers, red with yellow throat. Sensitive to frost especially when young. Mature plants are more cold hardy.
These plants are blooming size, seedlings from Yellow (Golden) Tulip tree. Please beware that there is a chance the flower may come out red (red is a dominant gene). All trees from this batch that opened flowers so far had yellow flowers.
