Longan is a medium sized tree from China, it can be pruned to maintain a small tree size. This lychee relative has stiffer leaves, more wind resistance and fruits more prolifically and regularly than its famous cousin. The flesh is sweet and is usually eaten fresh but can be canned or dried. The crisp skin is easy to remove and the white flesh has a texture and sweetness reminiscent of litchi.

Rubus albescens (niveus). Origin: India, Malaysia. Unlike common raspberries from up North that can not tolerate tropical heat, Mysore Tropical Raspberry grows very well in hot humid climates. It grows very fast into a scrambling shrub with flexible stems and tends to bloom and fruit throughout the year. The fruit is red when unripe and purple black when ripe, very juicy and sweet. The clusters contain as many as couple dozen fruit. It is also a very ornamental plant because it has almost white canes and the leaves are green above and whitish underneath. The plant is cold hardy to upper 20s F; young plants are more cold sensitive. Great to grow in large containers and will produce large amounts of fruit. Good drainage is essential for good growth.

Harvest Moon. This mango is very delicious; sweet with a fantastic creamy consistency. It looks good also (for those who care about looks in addition to taste). It is a very sweet, tropical citrusy taste with well balanced acidity. Texture is juicy and creamy.
