Red Maple is a fast growing tree, best known for its brilliant deep scarlet foliage in December-January in Florida and autumn elsewhere. It is is adaptable to a very wide range of site conditions. It can be found growing in wet sites, swamps, on poor dry soils, and most anywhere in between. Due to its attractive fall foliage and pleasing form, it is often used as a shade tree for landscapes. In Florida it grows much shorter than in colder region, reaching 20-40 ft.
This plant is grown from seed collected in Florida, so it is suited for planting in Florida. It may perform worse up North.

Rare! Boa is an exciting new upright Alocasia that features enormous leaves and remarkable serrated leaves with marbled stems.
It has snakeskin-like stems and serrated leaves. This variety makes an excellent container plant as well as a beautiful landscape plant for the tropical garden. Black stems and veins adorn this extraordinary form of Alocasia macrorrhiza. This very rare and unusual elephant ear is quite different from the typical. Amorphophallus konjac is one of the largest flowers, a perennial exotic Asian plant. It grows a single, elongated center called a corm and a single large leaf that wraps around it. The corm is the part of the plant that is used, as well as its tuber, which is commonly called the konnyaku potato. It is one of the most exotic, bizarre flowers. This plant is dormant from Fall through Winter, shipped as tuber, keep on dry side until it grows back its leaves in Spring.

Large fruit with an opaque, light-red surface. The flesh is dark-pink with a good aroma and taste. It is a vigorous, productive cultivar. This variety is above average quality and not gritty.
Red Custard-Apple. Very rare fruit similar to Sugar Apple. Bigger fruit with dark red skin and pulp, superior flavor. Erect growing tree, rounded to spreading. The fruit is 4" to 6" in diameter, roundish to heart-shaped to irregular. Flesh is thick creamy-white and custard-like. Red fruits sometimes have pink flesh or red lines running through the flesh. Season: Late Winter to Spring.

Cashew nut, Cashew Apple. Small size tree that will produce fruit within 1-2 years; will successfully fruit in container. The actual fruit is the nut, the apple is a swollen stem. Cashew apple is eaten fresh or stewed. It has a sweet-astringent taste. Nut itself is caustic until roasted. Must be roasted outdoors because fumes are irritating. Very fast growing under favorable conditions, it may fruit in container, within 2 years from seed. Tolerates very poor soil and drought, as well as salty wind.

Beautiful striped red-and-white flowers are highly fragrant. Fragrance is the most intense you can imagine and is much better than all jasmines and gardenias all together.
The plant is very similar to plumeria in growth habit (and is close related to Plumeria). It grows into a small tree. Unlike Plumeria, it is evergreen in warm climate.

Diamond Head is a spectacular variety of Taro is named after the volcanic cone on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, which makes sense because both the cone and plant are black and lustrous! A stunning new addition to the world of elephant ears, Diamond Head's broad, lightly ruffled-edged, chocolate-black leaves have a shiny surface and a lustrous sheen that reflects the light. For best color, grow it in full sun. Mature plants form a well-behaved clump and reach 3 to 4 feet tall, with leaves up to 2 feet wide!

Introduced at the 2000 International Aroid Society meeting in Florida, this dazzling elephant ear became the most wanted plant at the meeting. Emerging solid green, the 25" wide light green leaves begin turning butter cream-yellow along the center. The color then pours down into the main vein creating a huge bold Y-pattern in the center of the leaf. Color then bursts into the lateral (side) veins and begins its march to the margins. Coloring starts in spring, shortly after the first leaves mature. It sends out lots of side stolons which will root into the soil where moisture is adequate. The more moisture the larger the plant will grow.
Colocasia White Lava is similar to Colocasia Nancys Revenge but White Lava produces glossy red petioles whereas Nancys Revenge has green petioles.
