Also known as A. x hybridum Fireball, and Abutilon Biltmore Ballgown, this is one of the many lovely hybrids between A. darwinii and A. striatum, with maple-like leaves and bell-flowers whose petals are recurved, turning in slightly at the bottom. Flowers are fiery red, as one would imagine, with prominent red veins accenting the surface. Happy plants can reach 8-10 ft tall, though pruning easily adjusts the size. Best with plentiful summer water and fertilizer. Less hardy than many, preferring temperatures that only occasionally drop into the 20s F, USDA zone 9. Placement out of wind with overhead protection and plentiful mulch help in less than balmy climates.

The Aristolochia gigantea will inspire a sense of marvel to anyone who gazes upon it. In some sources, Aristolochia gigantea is considered as Aristolochia grandiflora var. Hookeri. The cultivation of Aristolochias is undemanding. Aristolochia gigantea var. Brasiliensis is one of the most outrageous flowers in the world. Cassia javanica - Apple Blossom Tree. Beautiful pink apple-blossom-like flowers. A very showy summer bloomer. Magnificent flowers bloom with petals that change in color from pale red to dark red then paling again. Flowers range from white to pink on the same branch and appear in dense clusters. Plukenetia volubilis, commonly known as sacha inchi, sacha peanut, mountain peanut, Inca nut or Inca-peanut, is a perennial plant in the family Euphorbiaceae, having small trichomes on its leaves. It is native to much of tropical South America, as well as some of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean. The roasted seeds can be consumed as nuts, and roasted leaves chewed or made into a tea. Sacha inchi oil has a mild flavour with a nutty finish and may be appropriate for a variety of cuisines. In Peru during 2009, the humanitarian group Oxfam supported techniques for growing sacha inchi as a cash crop by indigenous groups like the Ashaninka. Sacha Inchi oil production is gaining international recognition for its taste and health properties.
