Fixed Star - Antares - Alpha Scorpii is an eye-catching star, shining with a distinctive bright red sparkle on northern summer evenings. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s a red beacon in winter evening skies. It’s the brightest star in the zodiacal constellation which has figured prominently in the sky lore of ancient cultures. The name seems to come from a Greek phrase meaning “rival of Ares” (i.e., rival of the planet Mars) and was probably given because of the star’s color and brightness. The traditional Arabic name of Alfa Scorpii is Qalb al-Aqrab - the Scorpion’s Heart.
Antares appears as a single star when viewed with the naked eye, but it is actually a binary star, with its two components called Alfa Scorpii A (Antares A) and Alfa Scorpii B (Antares B). The brighter of the pair is Antares A, the red supergiant, while Antares B appears a profound blue or bluish-green color, in contrast to the orange-red Antares A.
The small and not-so-bright Antares B is pretty hard to see in the night sky unless you're a professional astronomer. This star can sometimes be observed with a small telescope for a few seconds while Antares A is hidden by the Moon
Star-ruler of the house - PLUTO
Element - AQUA
Talisman Plant - Pomegranate (Punica granatum)
Scorpio is the "hottest" among aquatic, and among the other signs of the Zodiac, perhaps, second only to the fiery signs - Leo, Aries and Sagittarius. But if they have this fire of creation, then the Scorpio fire is the fire of destruction. The ruler of his house, Pluto, at the physical, cellular level regulates the process of creation and destruction, death and revival, then at the emotional level Scorpio is left to himself and seethes with passions, suffering from them, first of all, himself.
They are secretive and never show all their cards, their enigmatic nature is what makes them so seductive and beguiling. Scorpio is the sign most closely associated with sex: The part of the body that Scorpio governs is the genital area. Sex isn't solely about pleasure for these sensual humans. They also crave the physical closeness, spiritual illumination, and emotional intimacy which the sex can provide.
Overindulgence of this sexual energy often leads Scorpio to self-destruction and doom. Since Scorpio is smart, he understands this, but not always can tames himself on his own.
On a good day, Scorpion energy is ambitious and enticing. On a bad day, however, the shadowy side of Scorpio is fueled by a relentless desire for control. Power-hungry Scorpios must remember that if controlled by their egos, they are at risk of poisoning themselves. This sign is at its best when that intrinsic intensity is applied to deep, soulful connections with friends and lovers. When they build trust with others, Scorpios demonstrate unparalleled empathy, depth, and commitment that brighten even the darkest parts of Scorpio’s magical psyche.
Scorpio's passionate nature, almost always influenced by the "older" star - Antares A, responds to the pure, refracted, clear light coming from the "younger" savior star, Antares B. And this light makes these non-identical dual natures unusually tender and sensitive. Somewhere deep inside.
Plants that, by the way, Scorpio loves very much, can provide invaluable assistance to this sign. Plants are able to calm Scorpio, transfer his attention and passionate energy to himself and transform it, directing it into a creative direction.
Scorpio is an aesthete. He loves flowers - unusual, bright, large - and lovingly grows them if he has such an opportunity. Their favorite plants, despite all their effectiveness, are often unpretentious and can grow in the most unfavorable conditions. They are characterized by the presence of spines and thorns, as well as tough, rough leaves.
Of particular importance in the sensual relationships of Scorpio with plants is the smell to which this sign is extremely sensitive. An unpleasant (personally for him) smell can disgust him, pleasant - calm anger and jealousy, and the aromas of some plants can affect Scorpio as an aphrodisiac. In addition, strong odors contribute to the elimination of accumulated toxic and carcinogenic substances from the Scorpio body.
Scorpio prefers mix of spices that have deep complex smells: all types of pepper, tarragon, coriander, oregano, thyme, nutmeg. The Camphor basil (Plectranthus hadiensis tomentosus) is most pleasant to him, whose rich smell is harmoniously combined with the strong sensual nature of this sign. Pomergranate (Punica granatum) plays a special role in Scorpio life. Bright beautiful red flowers, fruits full of red grains and life-giving juice, make this tree - a thousand-year-old symbol of fertility and passion a real panacea for our heroes.

Scorpio Cats exhibit a profound passion for life and love, extending not only to their own romantic affairs but also to the relationships of those around them, be they cats, other animals, or humans. These feline individuals thrive on being intricately involved in everything, and they relish having control, particularly over those they ardently adore.
Independence is not a strong suit for Scorpio Cats, often leading them to prolonged periods of being single. Consequently, they can become embroiled in complex relationships; this complexity seems to be a hallmark of a Scorpio Cat's life, however mirroring the general nature of Scorpios.
Scorpio Cats have a remarkable memory, tending to hold grudges rather than forgive and forget. If they perceive a wrong, whether from you or another creature, they will find a way to exact revenge, sweetly calculated to redress the perceived injustice.
Scorpio Cats are inclined to assert dominance in any situation. Their piercing gaze quickly captivates both humans and fellow felines, even from a young age, imbuing them with an inherent power. Their desire for control is rooted in the need to maintain their authority, although Scorpio Cats typically wield it for noble purposes, rather than malevolent ones. They may occasionally come across as self-absorbed, but their intentions are usually benevolent. However, their minds often seem preoccupied with enigmatic thoughts. It's a well-known belief that all mystical cats belong to the Scorpio sign, including the famous Cheshire Cat, but that's a tale for another time.
Scorpio Cats are known for their intense focus. Once they set their sights on something, they pursue it relentlessly, demonstrating fearlessness and a confrontational spirit. Scorpio Cat will't getting into any fight - their potent gaze is often sufficient to intimidate adversaries.
One of the most distinctive traits of Scorpio Cats is their unwavering fidelity and loyalty. You’ve heard stories of cats separated from their families who travel miles to get back to them? They were probably all Scorpios.
Much like their human counterparts, loving a Scorpio Cat can be challenging due to their complex nature. Yet, it is nearly impossible not to adore them, as their love is intoxicating, akin to a bewitching enchantment.
Scorpio Cats harbor a fondness for tall flowering shrubs and fragrant creepers with large blossoms. They possess a unique connection to scents, and while ordinary cats may recoil from potent odors, Scorpio Cats exhibit a particular affinity for select aromatic plants. For instance, while most cats are drawn to Catnip (Nepeta cataria) and Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), Scorpio Cats go wild for the fragrances of Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) and Chinese Perfume Plant (Aglaia odorata). Even female perfumes containing oils from these plants bring the Scorpio Cat bliss, as they savor the scent and affectionately attend to the "mistress" of this aroma.
