Dusari / Dasheri is a variety of mango grown in different parts of North India. It is a sweet and fragrant variety of mango, color is yellow when ripe, skin thin, pulp fibreless and flesh firm.
In the 18th century, Dasheri first appeared in the gardens of Nawab of Lucknow. Since then Dasheri plants have been produced and planted throughout India. People from the village Dasheri near Kakori, Uttar Pradesh have the mother plant. This mother plant belonged to the orchards of Late Mohammad Ansar Zaidi. This mother plant is said to be around 200 years old. It bears fruit every alternate year. Though the fruit is small when compared to its grafted counterparts, its flavor and aroma are unmatched. The plant is being well taken care of by Mr. Zaidi's descendants. It is often referred to as "The Mother Dasehri".

A traditional juice mango selected in Jamaica but not well known away from the Island. Common in markets in Jamaica and other parts of Caribbean. The fruit is oblong, with a smooth greenish to bright yellow skin, red blush on the shoulders, overlaid with large white dots and a heavy wax coating. 12-20 oz. The deep orange flesh is firm and juicy, with some fiber. Flavor is rich, aromatic, spicy, with distinctive tropical and coconut flavor notes. Very good for fresh juices.

Giselle (35-6) is from Zills breeding program and was a seedling of a mango called Tower. It was described as a juice mango and is named after Gary's wife. The fruit is medium-sized, ovoid-shaped, developing a reddish blush on the skin. The flesh is dark yellow/orange, and is indeed quite juicy but not very fibrous. Decadent flavor is of the Indian/West Indian sort and tastes like an outstanding Graham mango when that variety is on point. It has a small polyembryonic seed.
The tree is a highly vigorous, upright grower with dense canopy. It is a later mid-season mango for us ripening primarily in July, sometimes into August. It is a good producer.

This mango is a cross of a Kent and Bombay and inherited the finest features of each variety: the large size and gorgeous yellow/red color of the Kent; and the excellent, exotic flavor of the Bombay. 'Jakarta' is a virtually fiberless selection of good eating quality and consistent production. When fully ripe the skin will turn deep orange to red and display numerous white dots. It has gone by multiple other names since being marketed commercially and introduced to other east Asian countries, including Golden Queen and Kiew Yai (in Thailand). Trees labelled Cat Saigon have also turned out to be Golden Queen.
They are oblong-sigmoid in shape, staying relatively green at maturity with some minimal pinkish blush at the top of sun exposed fruit in interior areas, while turning a more brilliant yellow/orange color towards the coast, weighing up to several pounds.
The flesh is firm, fiberless, and yellow. The flavor is good, of the Thai-class with typical sweetness and floral and honey notes, but with perhaps a little more depth to it than something like Nam Doc Mai or Keow Savoy.
The trees are moderately vigorous growers with vertical dense canopy. The foliage resembles that of Keitt but the flowers have superior anthracnose resistance.

M4 is referred to as "sweet like candy and tasted coconutty". Its coconut flavor blows Coconut Cream away, and is way more complex with a slight balancing sub-acidity component. M4 is not a colorful/pretty mango on the outside but the taste more than makes up for it. It is a Kent cross and has just recently been released from the same breeding project that produced Coconut Cream, Pineapple Pleasure and others. This superior variety was released due to high connoisseur and staff insistence, because of supreme deliciousness, to pretty much everyone who tried them, and clean appearance, though not at all colorful.
