Grains of Paradise, African Cardamom. Seeds of this rare Ginger are similar in flavor to cardamom and used as a pungent spice. This Ginger has many bioactives, great for digestive and intestinal health. The plant has many other medicinal values: anti-diabetic and anti-obese mechanisms, aphrodisiac and testosterone boosting properties. Aframomum melegueta may be promising for a spice to add to a diet in hopes of body recomposition. Studies show this spice increases sexual behavior.

Amorphophallus konjac is one of the largest flowers, a perennial exotic Asian plant. It grows a single, elongated center called a corm and a single large leaf that wraps around it. The corm is the part of the plant that is used, as well as its tuber, which is commonly called the konnyaku potato. It is one of the most exotic, bizarre flowers. Posh-te, Cawesh, Poshte - rare exotic fruit tree. An uncommon Annona with a creamy banana-pineapple like flavor. Said to be one of the most flavorful and refreshing Annona

This rare Annona is a species originally brought to us from Costa Rica. We believe it to be a natural hybrid between A. muricata and A. glabra. It is a very ornamental, evergreen, small to medium size tree with waxy, large 4-6 inch leaves, similar to A. muricata, A. montana or Rollinia. Fast growing, forms nice bushy specimen. Flowers are very similar to A. muricata.
It has a large, up to 1 lb fruit, green when unripe, sometimes with gray to brown spots, turning dark yellow to orange on ripening. The pulp is golden to orange when ripe, with strong Pineapple scent, and resembling Jackfruit in texture. Flavor is like the custard apple but with pineapple, papaya, apricot and melon overtones. Note that some people dislike the taste, others find it good.

What is the longest Anthurium?

Climbing Ylang-Ylang, Manorangini, Hara-champa, Kantali champa. A brother of a famous Artabotrys hexapetalus, this plant can grow as a large woody vine or trimmed as a shrub. Flowers are very fragrant, with lemon-like scent.

Bougainvillea arborea is a thornless and fragrant species. Free-standing small bushy tree with lavender-pink blooms. Very rare variety very much wanted because its compact and slow growth habit. The tree usually doesn

New hybrid! Peach flower that sometimes turns variegated. The stunning deep orange, double flowers attract any viewers in their tracks. In the petal count is usually much darker color and the color has a luminosity. Flowers may become slightly variegated with white stripes.

A dwarf ginger that is hard to find, but well worth it. Intermittently throughout the year, bright golden-orange cones will appear above the glossy dark green, maroon-backed leaves. Individual flowers will open and last for a period of about two weeks during each bloom cycle. Has a very upright growth habit. An excellent indoor plant, it should be kept out of direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves, and should be kept in a container even outdoors, as they are very cold-tender and must be brought inside in the fall. When repotting, take care that only the roots are burried in the soil or potting medium, as it is a bit of an epiphyte (air plant) and the rhyzome must remain above ground level.

Dwarf Red Jade vine. If you always wanted to own THE Red Jade Vine, here is your chance! Also called Cuitelo, Crista-De-Galo (Rooster's Crest), it is sometimes miss-identified as a Mucuna species. This amazing eye-catcher is closely related to Red Jade Vine, however, it is much hardier than the ultra-tropical Mucuna benettii! It is a spectacular fast-growing vine from Brazil with long pendulous chains of fiery bright red flowers. Heavy vine, it needs large trellis or pagoda. An arbor is ideal so that the brilliant flowering racemes can hang down from the ceiling. Blooms in fall and winter. Prune heavily in spring after flowering. Give full or partial sun with adequate moisture and fertilizer. It is very easy to grow, can tolerate some drought and light frost.

Dwarf Ylang-Ylang, small tree or shrub with highly scented flowers. This is one of the most desired and sought after rare fragrant plants. It is pretty easy to grow, stays compact and in nice tree-like shape. Flowers smell as great as full size Ylang Ylang tree, although sometimes fragrance may be less intense and requires warm and humid conditions for full aroma. The plant blooms year round providing warm conditions. It can be also grown as a container and a house plant, but keep in mind it requires bright light for profuse flowering.
This plant is seasonally sensitive: during cooler months leaves may drop or get yellow/dark spots. New leaves will regrow with warm temperatures (above 70F). It is still available for purchase but do not order if leaves appearance matters to you.

An exceptionally distinct pepper, it is likely an ancient hybrid of Capsicum annuum (bird pepper) and Capsicum chinense (habanero group).
While of small size (something around an inch or so long), these oddly shaped bright orange to finally red fruits are prolifically produced along the branches of compact plants with small leaves.
What separates this variety from others is its unique flavor which packs quite a bang! Not because of its heat (because our strain has either no heat what-so-ever, or so little it is hard to even detect), but because of its intense fruity habanero flavor.

Wiri Wiri Pepper. A variety from Guyana, the Wiri Wiri pepper is the illustrious gem; hard sought and rarely found. This plant produces good yields of small 1/2" berry shaped hot peppers. Peppers grow upright, are very hot, and turn from green, to orange, to red when mature.

The seeds of the Carob Tree, all being the same size, are used as weights in eastern Mediterranean countries (the word "carat" comes from the Arabic name of the seeds). So the modern word carat owes its derivation to the same pathway that named the Carob, which was originally used by Arab jewelers to weigh their precious metals and stones!

Chrysophyllum africanum is a forest fruit tree commonly found throughout tropical Africa. Amongst the Yoruba of Nigeria, it is called Agbalumo while it is called Udara in the eastern and southern parts of Nigeria, and in the northern Part of Nigeria popularly known as Agbaluma.

Wonderful shade tolerant bloomer! Gorgeous pink flowers with mauve throats that look almost artificial. The flower stays on the plant for a few days. The shrub has naturally round shape. Blooms from late winter through spring and summer. Perfect container plant or can be gown as a specimen in a small garden. Very rare, hard to propagate. It happily blooms in shade, and the fruit resembles a small apple and is enjoyed by birds and wildlife. Very undemanding plant.

Variegated Maya Spinach Tree is also called Cnidoscolus aconitifolius variegatus cv. Jatropha, or Variegated Chaya, Variegated Tree Spinach, a rare colorful cultivar of the Classic Chaya. It is a succulent perennial shrub or small tree with showy cut foliage in heavily divided fans with a creamy variegation. It sends out small clusters of white flowers, a nice bonus. Sunny location dry between watering. The leaves can be cooked and eaten, similar to spinach (but are toxic raw). But, really it's just stunning as an ornamental alone!
Chaya Col, Kikilchay, Chaykeken - a little known leafy green vegetable. Younger leaves and a bit of the stems are cut and used much like spinach. Leaves are immersed and simmered for 20 minutes and then served with oil or butter. Chaya is a nutritious leafy green native to the Yucatan Peninsula, rich in protein, calcium, iron, and vitamins A and C. It offers numerous health benefits, including aiding digestion, improving circulation, and supporting lactation. Chaya is also used in folk medicine for conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Important: Always cook the leaves by boiling them for 5-15 minutes to neutralize toxins and make them safe to eat.
