Dwarf Pelican flower, Calico flower. Easy to grow, fast growing vine with curious flowers, relatively cold hardy (to some frost). Flowers are similar to A. gigantea, but smaller size (4-5").

The seeds of the Carob Tree, all being the same size, are used as weights in eastern Mediterranean countries (the word "carat" comes from the Arabic name of the seeds). So the modern word carat owes its derivation to the same pathway that named the Carob, which was originally used by Arab jewelers to weigh their precious metals and stones!
Carob is cultivated for its abundance of pods, rich in sugar when ripe, which are used for the production of alcohol or ground with the seeds to make carob bean meal for animal feed.

Clusias, with their beautiful "porcelain" flowers, are the easiest plants to grow. It will forgive you if you forget to water it... Takes both sun or shade. Very slow growing and can be used as a potted specimen. The plant forms interesting aerial roots. Small leathery, pear shaped leaves on compact, rounded shrub, with small light pink flowers. Illustris Colocasia is a classic beauty. The heart-shaped, large purple-and-green leaves of Illustris are huge, and their dark highlights are stunning. This elephant ear is a lover of moist shade, but does best with a little dappled sunlight. It will tolerate boggy conditions. Provide light shade to full shade and consistently moist or boggy soil. It is a strong fast growing variety that does great in container, landscapes, ponds and patios.

Very popular collectible hybrid, this is one plant that truly lives up to its cool name! Purple and green camouflaged leaves with a lime green stem. Each leaf of this Elephant Ear is like an artists canvas, no two are exactly alike. Splashed, splattered, sprayed, marbled, splotched - take your pick of adjectives to describe the unique pattern of lime green, chartreuse, purple, and near-black colors on each huge, arrow shaped leaf. Even its stout stems are colorful: light pink with dark rattlesnake-like stripes. The colors tend to be most vivid when sited in partial shade.
This plant will grow well in large containers or in the ground as long as consistent moisture is available. In the ground, the leaves can grow a whopping 2ft long by 18in wide and the plant can reach 6ft tall. This plant will also grow in shallow water.

Introduced at the 2000 International Aroid Society meeting in Florida, this dazzling elephant ear became the most wanted plant at the meeting. Emerging solid green, the 25" wide light green leaves begin turning butter cream-yellow along the center. The color then pours down into the main vein creating a huge bold Y-pattern in the center of the leaf. Color then bursts into the lateral (side) veins and begins its march to the margins. Coloring starts in spring, shortly after the first leaves mature. It sends out lots of side stolons which will root into the soil where moisture is adequate. The more moisture the larger the plant will grow.
Colocasia White Lava is similar to Colocasia Nancys Revenge but White Lava produces glossy red petioles whereas Nancys Revenge has green petioles.

Pharaohs Mask (PP33772) Colocasia . It has bright green leaves that are accentuated by bulging purple veins, creating an unusual 3D effect that is impossible to ignore. At maturity, the leaf edges curve under, showing off the purple veins even more. Strong, dark stems, the same color of the veins, support individual leaves like masquerade masks. A nice cluster of them make for a big impact with the stripped foliage and dark stems that is unlike any elephant ear on the market.

The ESALQ Red Jaboticaba is a rare and exotic fruit tree originating from Brazil, named after the prestigious Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ), University of Sao Paulo. This tropical fruit tree was extensively studied by the renowned botanist Joao Rodrigues de Mattos in the 1970s, and it is recognized for its large, and exceptionally sweet, flavorful fruit. It begins to bear fruit within 4 to 5 years.

Rangoon Creeper - single flower variety. Spectacular bloom, flowers change color from white to pink to red. Sweet fragrance. Very fast growing, perfect for covering a fence or pagoda.

It happily blooms in shade, and the fruit resembles a small apple and is enjoyed by birds and wildlife. Very undemanding plant.

Diamond Head is a spectacular variety of Taro is named after the volcanic cone on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, which makes sense because both the cone and plant are black and lustrous! A stunning new addition to the world of elephant ears, Diamond Head's broad, lightly ruffled-edged, chocolate-black leaves have a shiny surface and a lustrous sheen that reflects the light. For best color, grow it in full sun. Mature plants form a well-behaved clump and reach 3 to 4 feet tall, with leaves up to 2 feet wide!

Quisqualis hybrid from Thailand, Rangoon Creeper - double flower variety. An extremely beautiful shrubby vine with pale-pink to deep crimson star shaped flowers, covering the entire plant when in full bloom. It's scent is unforgettable, fruity and intoxicating! The flowers are born in clusters and each flower has many variations of color, depending on how old the flower is. The flower starts out white and or pink striped and turn solid pink and finally dark pink on maturity.

The 'Silas Woods' is an outstanding variety of Sapodilla. The tree has dwarf growth habit (under 20 ft in the ground) and adapts well to a container. This variety is highly productive. Trees are producing year round, the branches often require support as they get very heavy loaded with fruits.
