Caimito, Star Apple - Variety from Hawaii, with green fruit, better quality than more common purple variety. Hard to find exotic fruit tree. It is a favorite in the Caribbean and Central America as well as Southeast Asia. The fruit has a mild grape-like flavor, and is best eaten fresh. Inside the fruit looks like a star when cut across.

It does well in any type of light other than full shade, but will grow best in full sun to partial shade. Okinawa Spinach is not a heavy feeder, and is relatively pest-free. Okinawan spinach is very adaptable to container gardening and even grows well on a windowsill. The younger leaves will have a much better flavor than the older leaves.
