VERY RARE! White Bat Head Lily, Bat Flower, Devil Flower, White Tacca. Curious, bat-like maroon-black inflorescence both in shape and color, with wide spreading, wing-like white bracts, accompanied by long trailing filaments or "whiskers". The small black flowers are succeeded by heavy berries, corrugated olive-green leaves with oblique base. These are interesting, evergreen, perennial and herbaceous plants that grow wild in many tropical climates. They can be grown in humid, tropical greenhouses or as an indoor collection specimen.

Super rare variety of Tacca chantrieri - Green Isle. This amazing bat plant has green blossoms with long showy whiskers. It is the same species as the black bat plant but this bright green blossom is quite the spectacle. This rare plant will stop passers by in their tracks. This breath taking tropical blooms from late Spring to early Fall and like to live in a spot where it gets about 60 percent shade. This plant is a good choice as an indoor potted plant since it does well in containers and in semi shade. They like to drink a great deal of water and bask in high humidity.

Beautiful low-growing shrub 2-3 ft tall with golden leaves and lots of tiny flowers that open in the morning and stay open till late afternoon. Very fast growing. What makes this plant special? Tropical Almond - large nutty fruits that taste very much like commercially grown almonds. As is the case with many tropical trees, tropical almond can be grown in a container where its size can be controlled for many years.

Kings mantle - perfect ever-blooming hedge. Bushy dense fast growing shrub. Blue flowers resembling morning glory. Several of the best-known Thunbergia species are climbers, but this native of tropical Africa is a sprawling shrub, very useful in mixed beds or as a low hedge. It has attractive, small, dark green leaves and tubular flowers which in the most common form are rich purple with a yellow throat. Responds well to regular pruning and can be shaped into a very bushy shrub, though this inhibits blooming. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil but will bloom in partial shade.

Tibouchina clavata is a beautiful plant Native to Brazil. Known as the Bears Ear Glory bush, it has striking purple flowers and lush green leaves. It's similar to Tibouchina multiflora (or grandiflora) but has more delicate, longer leaves and thinner branches. This plant loves warm weather and adds a tropical touch to your garden, whether you plant it in the ground or in a pot. Grows into 5-7 foot showy shrub with silvery green, pubescent leaves. It blooms spring, summer, and fall with clusters of purple flowers about 1 inches across. Stamens with distinctive long, eyelash-like appendages. Needs some pruning to shape and plenty of light to bloom. Takes both sun or shade, but the more light, the more flowers.

Princess flower - beautiful purple blooms and velvet leaves. This is a dwarf compact variety that gets very bushy and flowers profusely in full sun or filtered light.

Glory bush, Quaresmeira. Large shrub or small tree with branching habit and huge velvet fuzzy leaves up to 10" in diameter, nice to touch, tend to turn orange/red at the lower part of the trunk. Spikes of purple flowers. A striking plant! Can be grown in both sun or shade. In shade the leaves grow up to 1 ft in diameter.

White Velvet, White Gossamer, Cobweb Spiderwort. Fuzzy leaved spiderwort, appearing as if its leaves were covered with spiderwebs. Silver green leaves frosted with white fuzzy cobwebbing whorled around upright stems. Low growing and spreading, to 10-12" x 18", with striking magenta flowers in summer through autumn. Showy in containers or the garden. Unusual little plant for the rock garden, a pot or the top of a wall.
Sun to light shade. This is a plant that enjoys neglect and mixes well with succulents. Far hardier than appears, this overwinters at light freeze (zone 7B).
