Monstera pinnatipartita (Nido Nodo)

Monstera pinnatipartita is an unusual evergreen climbing aroid native to tropical Central and South America, including Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama. This species is especially prized for its dramatic foliage transformation as it matures. Juvenile plants produce entire, slightly textured, often silvery-green leaves with prominent veins. As the plant climbs and develops, the leaves become progressively larger and deeply divided, with narrow cuts extending almost to the central vein, creating a striking feather-like appearance. In its natural rainforest habitat, this hemiepiphytic vine climbs tree trunks using strong aerial roots. Providing vertical support encourages mature foliage, while unsupported plants may retain their juvenile appearance. It thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light and a loose, well-drained, organic-rich growing medium.
