Kona coffee is a variety of Coffea arabica from the Kona region of Hawaii whose beans produce a distinct taste with a lower acidity and caffeine content than typical Arabica beans. It is considered a specialty coffee. Growing Kona for commercial production requires a very specific weather pattern, but it may easily be grown as an ornamental houseplant with minimal care.
