This shrub is an uncommon cousin of Malvaviscus drummondii, its red flowers are pendant. It is a perfect everblooming shrub to add color to your yard. It grows quickly and so is good for adding bulk to new gardens. It is drought resistant, mostly pest-free, and requires little maintenance.
