Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac, which the sun enters at the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, on approximately June 21. Those who are born from approximately June 21-22 (depending upon the year) to July 22 are born under Cancer.
"Cancer" is an ancient word of Indo-European origin, derived from a root meaning "to scratch". In ancient Egypt, the sign of Cancer was conceived as a Scarab Beetle, while in Mesopotamia it was represented by a Sky Turtle. In each case, the animal representative of the sign was perceived as "pushing" the sun across the heavens, initiating the summer solstice.

The constellation Cancer is sometimes called the Dark Sign. This is due to the fact that there are no bright stars in it, it is difficult to find it in the star sky. "Dark horses" are most often people born under this sign. As true crayfish and crabs, the Cancers prefer to be in their own, carefully guarded world, and they allow only few outsiders inside this world. Their world can be light flows of transparent sea water in a small calm bay, and a dark silty river backwater. Despite the seemingly hard shell of Cancers, they are extremely tender and easily vulnerable.
Cancers are not only faithful and sentimental, but even capable of self-sacrifice if the situation requires it. An overly developed sense of duty can make them resilient and determined. For a while.. and back again, to the sweet home under stone or piece of driftwood.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, the celestial body that represents comfort, self-care, and maternal energies. Accordingly, Cancers tend to be domestically oriented. They love to create cozy, safe spaces that serve as their personal sanctuaries, then spend lots of time in them.
Cancers care deeply about their families and are quick to adopt caregiver roles. They attract friends and lovers through their loyalty, commitment, and emotional depth. They are excellent hosts and can to enjoy with comfort food and wines.
The integrity of family relationships or other well-established relationships, even if they have outlived their usefulness, is unshakable for the Cancers. Responsible for these moral virtues is the inseparable connection of Cancer’s fixed star Al Tarf with its exoplanet, which can't lose the orbit around its star.
Like all water signs, Cancers are persons of mood. They love plants, but, under the influence of the ruler of their house, the Moon, their relationship is subject to a kind of "tide" and "ebb tide".

Suddenly, they will like some plants - and Cancer lovingly grows a whole collection, then suddenly, having lost interest in the collection, it will begin to grow something completely different. And then something else. And more.. But in general, Cancers do not give flowers some special place in their lives. Just so, another joy of life for some limited time.
The full Moon is able to provoke to Cancers unexpected whims and an unaccountable desire to cry, causes frequent insomnia. And only some flowering plants can help them. Therefore, it is very important for them to grow the so-called lunar flowers - white or light yellow, with a delicate aroma and soft leaves.
The concept of a lunar garden is one of the most romantic directions of modern landscape design. Originating from ancient magical rituals, the lunar garden combines past and future, evoking memories of old tales and making one feel the call of the endless cosmos. The lunar composition consists of white aromatic plants illuminated by bright sources of artificial light.

White flowers reflect this artificial light as the moon reflects the light of the sun. For such a garden, nothing particularly complicated or extravagant is needed. It can be arranged in a garden around the house, on a poles or on the windowsill; sometimes even a simple flower garland is enough to make white flowers peep out from the night gloom and shine a magical light. At the same time, the light source does not necessarily require the use of electricity - candles, lamps, small lanterns, or small torches can provide the same, if not more romantic, effect.

And on a full moon time, artificial illumination is not necessary - under the mysterious rays of the moon, white flowers shine especially magically, as if talking to the stars and calling elves and fairies to the night full moon ball. Such radiant beauty frees the spirit and relaxes the body. The lunar garden is a great opportunity to get rid of stress, emotional discomfort and insomnia for any Zodiac Sign.

The most important scents for Cancer is Camphor and Cinnamon. Their warming and soothing effect brings comfort and peace. Bay Leaf (Laurus nobilis), Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) and Sage (Salvia officinalis) and juicy sweet fruits are also favorable.

Cat Zodiac: Cancer Cats 06/22-07/22

How to know the astrological sign of your cat?
The astrological sign of a cat can be determined by either their date of birth or adoption, as adoption is often considered a second birth for cats. With this information, one can discover the astrological traits that describe the cat, such as their independence, diva-like tendencies, sense of humor, intelligence, and more. Additionally, it's also important to consider the astrological relationship between cats and plants...

You won't find a more faithful, loving, or protective feline than the Cancer cat. They have a deep affection for their humans and are content as long as they have a comfortable bed, a clean litter box, regular meals, and consistent affection. Understanding their range of emotions and showing sensitivity and compassion for what they feel helps the Cancer cat feel safe, loved, and secure.

Cancer cats are known for being affectionate and enjoy cuddling. They have an intuitive sense of when their human needs someone close and will readily snuggle up, even going as far as getting close to their face. Being attached to their human, they are most likely to miss them, so when bringing a Cancer cat home, it's essential to pay special attention to their needs.

The Cancer cat considers itself part of the family and will effortlessly blend in with any household they become a part of. They are excellent communicators but can also be quite jealous, viewing their family members as their personal property. Despite their jealousy, they are peaceful creatures and won't express it through aggression. Instead, they may show their offense and take a long time to rebuild their shaken trust.

Being sociable creatures, Cancer cats may feel lonely when left alone, so having other cats in the household or nearby can be beneficial for them. Surprisingly, a Leo cat can make a great friend for a Cancer cat, despite their seemingly different character and temperament. They often form close bonds and become like relatives to each other.

Cancer cats love being in the spotlight and are often the stars of family or Christmas photos, and even on social media platforms like Instagram, Tik-Tok or Facebook.

Interestingly, they have a particular fondness for flowers with strong, intoxicating scents, such as lilies, gardenias, jasmine, and tuberose. The scent of these white flowers can drive them crazy, and they may often be found lying under flowering bushes or vines. When asleep, they tend to curl up in a pose resembling the crab symbol of the Cancer zodiac sign, with their front paws tucked under their chin.

Brunfelsia (Lady of the night), Clerodendrums, Jasminum nitidum (Star Jasmine) and all white jasmines, Plumeria, Magnolia Champaka, Magnolia figo (Banana Magnolia), Trachelospermum (Confederate Jasmine), Vallaris (Bread Flower).
