2. Tropical Raspberry Mysore
Tropical
Raspberry Mysore (Rubus albescens) - is the perfect solution for those missing
Northern fruit in hot climates. Unlike traditional raspberries that can't
handle the heat, this fast-growing Raspberry from India thrives in humid, hot
conditions and produces juicy, sweet fruit almost year-round! The clusters of
purple-black fruit are packed with flavor, and the plant is perfect for large
containers, producing plenty of fruit in no time. Cold-hardy to the upper 20s

3. Fragrant Jasmine Sambac
Jasminum
Sambac is widely regarded as the most fragrant jasmine, cherished by
tropical gardeners and plant collectors alike. Native to India, this jasmine is the
source of jasmine perfume oil and the signature ingredient in jasmine tea.
With various varieties offering unique flower sizes, shapes, and growth
habits, it’' perfect for both sun and shade, thriving as a container plant or
indoor favorite. Its delightful fragrance fills the air, and with the help

4. Everbearing mulberry
The Dwarf
Everbearing Mulberry (Morus sp.) - is the perfect way to enjoy fruit
year-round! This beautiful, cold hardy bush produces sweet, juicy mulberries starting
from the very first year - often the same season you plant it. With its dwarf
habit (easily maintained at 4-6 ft), it's perfect for containers and small
spaces. Cold-hardy and drought-resistant, this productive plant thrives in
various climates, from USDA zones 5 to 10! The fast-growing Mulberry will provide
fruit year-round, and with minimal care, it will flourish in almost any soil. Our

5. Medinilla Coral Spike
Rare Medinilla
scortechinii - Orange Coral Spike - is a rare gem that brings a touch of
the ocean to your garden! With bright orange stems bursting into star-shaped
blooms, it looks like something straight from a coral reef. Compact and easy to
grow, this plant stays under 2-3 ft tall, making it perfect for pots,
hanging baskets, or as an epiphytic accent. The glossy dark leaves contrast
beautifully with the vibrant orange panicles, and it thrives in bright shade. A must-have for collectors of unusual

📅 Mark Your Calendar - Holiday Plant Market
Holiday season in Florida means sunshine, green leaves, and cats on patrol. On Saturday 12/13/25, our PeopleCats are hosting a special Holiday Plant Market at TopTropicals, 9 am to 4 pm. This is not a regular nursery day. This is the one where you grab a donut in one hand, a mango tree in the other, and try not to trip over a cat giving you a tour.
We are bringing out the best plants we grew all year: big fruit trees with real branches, flowering and fragrant beauties, rare collectors plants, and vines that are ready to take off as soon as you get them home. December is perfect planting weather in Florida, so while the rest of the country is scraping frost from windshields, you can be choosing which banana, mango, or jasmine will perfume your yard next summer.
Holiday extras: 30% OFF online prices, free plant with purchase, 5 to 10 dollar specials, mini donuts and holiday treats, iced tea and citrus water, tropical Christmas music, and raffle prizes. If there is enough ripe fruit in the morning, we will set up a tasting table too. A letter from a gardener:
"We just want our paradise back!"
"...My name is Ian, and I am a 21 y/o Natural Resource Management
student at South Dakota State University. In 2006, my family found a small
barrier island lush with foliage and virtually untouched by the modern world, and
we fell in love. Little Gasparilla Island became a piece of our family and
now after 16 years, we still spend months out of each year enjoying the
island's natural beauty.
Enter Hurricane Ian.
With the eye of the hurricane traveling directly over the island, many
homes and materialistic items were destroyed, but more importantly, the once
beautiful "jungle" is now more comparable to a barren desert.
This is where I was hoping to get some help... to restore the beauty of
Little Gasparilla. After almost 3 weeks, neither the county nor FEMA has made it
out to survey our island. And it is almost as if we feel forgotten. After
fending for ourselves for clean-up, I am ready to get to work on landscaping.
Plants are my passion and it pains me each day to wake up and see that 90% of
our Australian and Norfolk Island Pines are completely gone, along with most
foliage and palms.
We just want our paradise back, and many of us will work for it by any
means necessary..."
