The key is remembering where it comes from: warm, humid tropical forests, growing beneath taller vegetation in filtered light.

❌ 1. Too much sun

Tropical doesn't automatically mean full sun.
Tacca is an understory plant. Strong direct sun can scorch its large leaves and stress the plant. Give it bright shade or filtered light instead.

The usual houseplant advice to "let the soil dry between waterings" doesn't work particularly well here.
Tacca prefers consistent moisture, especially while actively growing and preparing to flower.
