Pitaya Dragon Fruit Palora, Yellow (Selenicereus megalanthus)

Palora is Ecuadorian selection, considered the premium yellow, the most wanted variety. The pulp is smooth, intensely sweet, pineapple-honey flavor. Originates from Bolivia, Equador, Peru and Columbia. It's greatly known for it's sweet tasting fruit and exceptional flavor. Knobbed, yellow fruit sharing some similarities with the Hylocereus dragon fruit. Taste is said to be superior to most cactus fruits. The fruits are smaller than the red and white dragon fruit, and contain prominent spikes until ripening time, upon which the spikes drop off.
