Sapodilla Tikal was selected in the United States. The fruit are ovoid in shape, but are fat at one end. This variety was one of the first superior commercial varieties planted in Florida. Fruit size can vary, but they can get as large as eleven ounces. The fruit ripen from December to March.
This Sapodilla variety we named Thai Brownie was brought by TopTropicals from Thailand in 2005. Fruit is oval, medium size, and very sweet. The tree is a heavy producer. This plant is a seedling and will take a few years to fruit.
