This evergreen shrub is neat, clean and functions well in the landscape as a basic evergreen shrub. It grows in almost any soil including heavy clay. This osmanthus puts on a good display of flowers, showier than other members of this genus. Osmanthus likes full sun or very light shade (especially in hot areas)and needs little water once it is established.
