Monanthotaxis is a Afrotropical plant genus with some 56 species, belonging to the Annonaceae. They are native to the tropics and subtropics of southeastern Africa and Madagascar.

Rare fragrant plant related to Ylang Ylang. It grows into a large woody Liana, or large size bush if trimmed.
