Unusual leafless orchids from Thailand, consisting of a cluster of silvery roots, emanating from a central growth point, with no leaves or visible stem. The roots have chlorophyll, and photosynthesize, feeding the plant. When in bloom, short spikes are produced, usually in profusion, bearing many small fragrant vanilla-scented flowers, white with a yellow splash on each petal and sepal. A rewarding species, easy to grow mounted in a bright location, allowing to dry between frequent watering.
