Petalidium coccineum

Petalidium coccineum is a species of a fast-growing shrub, up to 2.5 m in height, with red flowers and smooth, white bark. It is a sight to see with its showy, red, curved flowers and contrasting white stems, and is a colorful introduction to horticulture. It is very drought tolerant.
