Hilo Beauty is a gorgeous, ornamental, evergreen perennial plant with unique black stems with a bluish hue and lovely variegated large leaves. True to its tropical roots, Hilo Beauty is named after an island in Hawaii. It has wide, elephant ear leaves that look camouflaged. Contrasted with deep green leaves, smooth edges, and chartreuse pops of color, this stunner adds the wow factor to any collection.
You might see this plant called an Alocasia, but it seems to be a common misconception; in some sources it says "This plant was recently renamed an Alocasia, for-merly a Colocasia".
