One of the most attractive of the Archontophoenix and performs very well. The purple of the crownshaft is its main ornamental feature making it unique among palms. Purple color seems to be more prominent with slight shaded, protected situations. This is a pretty robust plant, compared to the regular King palm. Leaves have a whitish underside and trunks are more markedly ringed.
