Tropical Giant Salvia. Outstanding herbaceous shrub with large, up to 1 ft, fiddle-shaped lush leaves. Very unusual specimen plant, great for shade gardens, where it will grow the biggest leaves. The shrub can grow up to 8-9ft. Very pretty purple flowers. The stems are hairy and square in cross-section. Fiddle-shaped large leaves are in opposite pairs along the stems. Grows in moist tropical areas, both in full sun or shade. Forms dense, monospecific stands.
