Leaves and stems are covered with silvery coating. Like other kalanchoes, leaflets form easily, they are fuzzy and silver. Easy to grow just from one leaf set on top of moist soil. Kalanchoe synsepala is a very attractive succulent plant, grows up to 20 inches tall. The fleshy leaves will grow enormous and are with red margin. Flowers are tubular, very pale pink to reddish, small in dense terminal cymes. It produces baby plants at the ends of long stems, which eventually and bend down to the ground and take root, giving rise to its common name of Walking Kalanchoe.

Also known as paddle plant, flapjacks, desert cabbage, this is a species of Kalanchoe native to South Africa. This Kalanchoe has large paddle-shaped leaves which redden beautifully from the margins in direct sunlight. Leaves can grow to be 6 inches long and 3-4 inches wide. It will form a lovely clump over time.
A succulent plant forms a basal rosette of large, rounded, fleshy, stalkless leaves, which are grayish-green with red margins, covered with a white powdery bloom. Unique rounded, silvery-green leaves have a dramatic red blush from the leaf edges flushing throughout most of the leaf.

This phenomenal plant is a variegated sport, meaning it's low on chlorophyll. Without green chlorophyll, astounding, bright pink pigments can shine through. It is an incredibly colorful succulent that produces copious quantities of tiny pink butterfly-like plantlets on its leaves but has lost its ability to root from plantlets.

This is a variegated form of an old hybrid that was hard to track down its heritage. The original hybrid Kalanchoe × houghtonii was a cross between Kalanchoe daigremontiana and Kalanchoe delagoensis. At some point, a variegated sport of this hybrid appeared, and Kalanchoe Pink Butterflies came to be.
