A superior new premier blackberry release from the University of Arkansas, Caddo is a productive, large-fruited, exceptionally sweet, high-flavored blackberry. Floricane fruiting Thornless Erect canes. Berries are sweet, very good fruit flavor and large size. Caddo is an early-ripening cultivar, about two days later than Natchez and two days earlier than Osage. It has overall high fruit quality, excellent postharvest fruit-handling potential, consistent high yields and excellent plant health. The berries are larger than Osage and Ouachita. Berries stay big all season, not decreasing in size as the harvest season goes on, unlike other cultivars. It is disease free.
