Haematoxylum campechianum is a fast growing ornamental tree that can reach up to 50 feet in height. It produces numerous delicate round leaflets and extremely fragrant yellow flowers. Haematoxylum campechianum was used for a long time as a natural source of dye. The bark and leaves are also used in various medical applications.
