Coccothrinax crinita Family: Arecaceae / Palmae Old Man Palm, Thatch Palm Origin: Cuba A truly remarkable trunk with a thick, fibrous, wooly material all over the trunk, even on small specimens. It thrives in most warm temperate and tropical areas and will even take a short, light frost without damage. It prefers a sunny situation and needs well drained soil. Very slow growing.
