Elite Gold are a juicy, white flesh pineapple with a soft center. This cultivar boasts a high sugar content with no acid. Grows only 2-3 ft high making it an excellent container plant that can even be grown in cold areas and brought indoors for the winter. All around great cultivar.

Bred for Florida pineapple production by Libby fruit company. At one time there where 240 acres planted in Immokalee, FL prior to Libby selling to Nestle. Florida Special Pineapple produces a golden-fleshed fruit with great flavor. Ripening fruit has shown to take temperatures down to the mid 30's without internal damage.

SugarLoaf is low acid pineapple originated from West Africa and has a mildly sweet flavor and an edible core. The variety is much thinner, taller and heavier in weight for its size than a regular golden pineapple; it has a dark green skin even when ripe and a creamy white interior fruit. Planted outside in tropical zones or as a patio/indoor plant in the north, Sugarloaf is a leading worldwide commercial variety. Self fruitful. Large pointed top, smooth leaf with serratted edge. Sugarloaf can can reach 10 pounds! White flesh. Even the core is edible. Also called Kona Sugarloaf. Excellent flavor, pretty plant and fruit.
