Tatiana Anderson
Co-founder and horticultural expert, Top Tropicals LLC
Tatiana Anderson is the co-founder of Top Tropicals LLC with Michael Dubinovsky and has worked with tropical and subtropical plants for more than twenty years. She started with a small backyard collection and built it into a full nursery as more gardeners began seeking her practical advice. She continues to run the Top Tropicals Garden Blog, where she shares day-to-day notes from the nursery.
Tatiana holds a master's degree in geobotany, the study of how plants respond to climate and local conditions. She is the lead author of the Top Tropicals Online Plant Encyclopedia and contributes plant guidance to gardening magazines. Her work appears in Homes and Gardens, ABC7 Fort Myers, Garden America, the Miami Herald, and the Palm Beach Post.
What makes Tatiana stand out is her ability to explain tropical plant behavior in a way home gardeners can use right away. She focuses on practical steps: how plants react to weather shifts, how to adapt fruit trees and ornamentals to different climates, and how container growing works in real life. Many gardeners rely on her straightforward approach when setting up new gardens or learning how to grow tropical species outside their native range.
