Chok Am Nuay comes from Thai words connected with luck and prosperity. Chok - luck, good fortune. Amnuay / Am Nuay - to grant, to provide, to bestow, to make something possible. So the name Chok Am Nuay can be understood as: "Luck that is granted" or "Bestowing good fortune". In everyday Thai sense it carries the idea of fortune being given or blessings arriving - a very positive, auspicious name. That is why plant breeders like it. Names connected with luck, wealth, and prosperity are extremely popular in Thai adenium varieties because they are believed to bring good fortune to the owner. In a more poetic translation for plants, it can be interpreted as: "Bringer of good fortune" or "Blessed with luck."

This is an Adenium you grow for the plant itself as much as the flowers. Coral develops bizarre, sculptural branches that twist, curl and spin as they grow, creating dense formations that really do resemble pieces of living coral. No two plants develop exactly the same way, and the strange architecture becomes more dramatic with age.
The secret is cristate growth, also called fasciation. In a normal Adenium, each branch grows from a small, single growing point. In Coral, that growing point becomes elongated and distorted, producing many closely packed growth points. Instead of making ordinary round branches, the stems broaden, divide, curl and fold around themselves. This is a stable cristata selection, so the unusual growth continues as the plant develops.
And yes - it can flower! Blooms emerge from the strange crested growth just as they do on other Adeniums, although flowering may be less frequent and unpredictable. But with this variety, flowers almost feel like a bonus. The fat caudex topped with its miniature coral reef makes Coral a fascinating collector plant even when there isn't a single bloom in sight.

Adenium Dorset Horn is a fascinating variety known for its unusual foliage and sculptural form. This compact desert rose develops thick, twisting leaves that curl and fold along the edges, giving the plant a distinctive, textured appearance. The glossy green leaves often curve and spiral along the branches, creating a lively, almost sculpted look even when the plant is not in bloom. Combined with the thick, characterful stems typical of Adenium, the plant forms a striking miniature tree that is perfect for container growing and collectors.
The flowers bring a bright contrast to the curled foliage. Soft pink petals with a lighter throat open above the branches, creating cheerful blooms that stand out against the deep green leaves. Buds often appear in clusters, so the plant can display several flowers at once, adding color to its already unusual structure.
The name Dorset Horn refers to a historic British sheep breed known for its distinctive curved horns. The variety received this name because its leaves twist and curl in a similar horn-like fashion, giving the plant its characteristic appearance. This unusual trait makes Adenium Dorset Horn one of the most recognizable and collectible forms of desert rose.
