Ixora sp. 'Thai Snow' (Ixora Thai Snow)
Botanical name: Ixora sp.
Common name: Ixora Thai Snow
Cultivar: Thai Snow
Family: Rubiaceae

Ixora Thai Snow is an attractive large shrub, which can grow up to 5-10 feet tall. A slow grower, it also makes a great topiary and also does very well as a potted plant, making it a perfect choice for home gardeners. The foliage is ornamental and glossy, medium to deep green with variegation from splashes and speckles of white to almost solid creamy white new growth. The attractive white to near white star-shaped flowers, which blooms in clusters in the early summer, are very fragrant, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies.
This plant thrives in full sun or partial shade and prefers regular water, but can tolerate moderate water. The Ixora Thai Snow is hardy in USDA Zones 9-11 and can be grown in cold regions if grown in a pot and brought inside during colder months. When grown in a pot and kept indoors, the plant should be placed in a light, and evenly humid location. This will help prevent any potential pest or disease issues and allow it to thrive. Watering should be done when the soil feels dry to the touch and fertilizer should be used once every two weeks.
