Philodendron 'Chocolate' (Chocolate Philodendron) is a compact, upright-growing herbaceous perennial from the Philodendron erubescens hybrid group, originally derived from tropical South American species that thrive in humid rainforest understories.

It features broad, glossy, oval-shaped leaves that emerge in deep red to chocolate-burgundy tones and mature into a darker green with subtle reddish undertones.

This plant prefers bright, indirect light and grows best in well-draining, moisture-retentive soil. It is not frost-tolerant and does well in warm, humid conditions or as a houseplant in USDA Zones 10-11.

To maintain its vibrant foliage, avoid harsh sun, keep humidity up, and feed monthly during the growing season.
