For the best results, the pot must be placed in a sheltered location, out of strong winds and frosty mornings. To ensure that the soil in the pot is well-drained, add some sand, perlite or vermiculite to the potting mix. You may also need to protect them from harsh temperatures. A cold frame or sunroom would be perfect for growing these plants.

During the growing season, Nemesia requires regular watering and fertilizing. If the soil becomes too dry, give the plants a deep watering, but avoid water logging the soil.
