Species and varieties:

Melianthus comosus

Melianthus major - large leaved tropical looking plant, with its large grey leaves and huge bronze flowers. It prefers a warm, sunny position with good drainage.

Melianthus villosus - another relative of Melianthus major which has proved to be almost hardy in this country.
