An evergreen small tender shrub to 3-5 ft tall with miniature blue or white Angel Trumpet flowers. Throughout the spring and summer, the 2" flowers completely cover the bush, creating a huge ball of color. If you've ever seen one of these in full bloom, you know how breathtaking it is. Like most Iochroma species, this one is happiest in cooler weather(not recommended for very hot, dry areas). It can take a few degrees of frost, but it will probably zap the leaves and spring buds, which will delay flowering. Grows well indoors, provided that the air isn't too dry. Indoors, under lights, it flowers all throughout the year. The plant litters the ground with a gorgeous carpet of blue flower petals. Note that the leaves, flowers, and fruit contain a toxin
