Cochlospermum religiosum, Cochlospermum gossypium

A very common and conspicuous tree, characteristic of the hottest, driest and stoniest slopes. The leaves are palmately 5-lobed. Flowers are large, bright golden yellow. Seeds covered with silky hairs.
