Creates a wonderful lush background for a garden or yard. It requires regular watering in semi-shade or shade locations. Thrives in humidity and does not tolerate direct sunlight.

The Christia obcordata (Butterfly Stripe Plant) is hardy in USDA zones 9 to 11 and can be grown indoors as a houseplant in cold climates. It's best to plant in a pot and bring it indoors during cold temperatures. To get the best growth, ensure the pot has adequate drainage and the soil is well-aerated. Water the plant frequently, and apply fertilizer twice a month. Place the pot in a bright shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight which could damage the delicate leaves. Prune away dead foliage and flowers as needed to maintain its shape and health. If kept indoors, be sure to mist the leaves to increase its humidity levels.

This unique plant is the perfect addition to a garden or houseplant collection. It can bring color and life to a space, and will be a conversation piece for years to come.
