Generally low-growing, it usually reaches only up to 2ft in height, and often forms a dense mat. In order to encourage healthy growth, the Rainbow Plant needs to be planted in full sun, and the soil should be kept moist. In USDA growing zones 9-11, it can easily be grown outdoors, but those living in colder climates should grow it in pot and move indoors during winter.
