Fuchsia splendens, Fuchsia cordifolia

Fuchsia splendens is a few to many-branched, soft-wooded shrub or small tree that can grow up to 6 metres tall, but is usually much lower. Moist or wet forest, often in loose sand, sometimes in high pine forest, often growing on cliffs and very frequently epiphytic on the moss-covered branches of trees

The edible fruit is often gathered from the wild for local use. The plant is often grown as an ornamental, valued especially for its attractive flowers.
