Tall with single trunk and a large head of feathery leaves. Suited for Indoors, good for patios and verandas when small. It is a very attractive and fast growing palm and easy to grow in a sunny position with good drainage. Can be shifted even when large. Very easy palm with great decorative effect. Need to remove dead leaves every year. Well-drained acidic soils. Alkaline soils should be avoided. Not affected by lethal yellowing disease. Vulnerable to ganoderma butt rot . See picture.
