| Conocarpus erectus Family: Combretaceae Button Mangrove, Florida Buttonwood Origin: Tropical America ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Evergreen tree to 6 m tall, 20 cm in diameter, with spreading crown. The evergreen leaves are oblong to lance-shaped, 2-4 in (5.1-10.2 cm) long and arranged alternately. The leaves are eaten, or their decoction drunk, for fever. The tree is used in landscaping and in bonsai. |
