Wavy Gravy, Parsley Leopard Plant. This is very hardy perennial from Japan, great for both full shade or semi-shade locations. Farfugium japonicum Shishi Botan (aka: Ligularia tussilaginea) is a very unusual Leopard Plant with heavily ruffled, crinkled gray-green leaves that form a glorious tangle of tight, crispy edges, resembling gigantic curly parsley. The fuzzy leaves have that look as though they have been run through a meat grinder, leaving them with an open, three-dimensional look. Displays bright yellow flowers. Leopard Plant thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. It looks great in the border or in containers. This plant does best in moist soil, and while it can take more sun than other varieties, it still needs shade from afternoon sun. Great indoor plant. A perfect full shade plant!
