Golden shower tree, Indian Laburnum - To many tropical gardeners, the most beautiful of cassias is Cassia fistula. Chains of Glory, Light Bulb Flower. This elegant plant is a rare species in plant collections. The white fragrant flowers are held in loose pendulous panicles, similar to Bridal Veil (Clerodendrum wallichii). The white flowers are very showy against dark green foliage. Flowering racemes hang down a foot and a half or more. Winter bloomer. It often has two flowering periods during the winter season.

This winter bloomer puts on one of the best flower shows of any shrub here in Florida. That means it's blooming all winter in Naples during season, when the most color is desired and appreciated. Dombeya Seminole is a large shrub that grows 7 feet tall and about the same in width. It can be kept to about 5 feet tall with pruning.
This shrub will grow in full sun to partial shade and will tolerate poor soil. The more sun, the fuller the shrub, and that also encourages the maximum number of flowers. It is also fairly drought-tolerant once established.

Flowers are very beautiful unusual shape, extremely fragrant. Perfect for container, very bushy. Can be also planted in the ground. This pretty plant has been called "Gardenia" for long time. However, analysis shows that it is a horticultural form of Kailarsenia.

Mature trees in large containers in South Florida never grow past 5 feet tall. Dwarf Jaboticaba is very rarely offered for sale.

Dwarf Maroon Jacaranda is a charming, compact tree that grows 10-12 feet tall, with a bushy habit that makes it perfect for tight spaces or even containers. What really steals the show are its deep maroon to dark purple trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in clusters from late spring through summer. In warm climates, it may surprise you with blooms at other times too! The fine, fern-like leaves add a delicate, lacy texture to the overall look.
This jacaranda loves full sun but will tolerate a bit of shade, and it's happiest in fertile, well-drained soil. Water it regularly when it's young or during dry spells, but once established, it's fairly easygoing. It is best suited for USDA zones 9 to 11, and while mature plants can handle brief cold snaps down to 20F, younger ones appreciate a little extra protection when the temps dip.

Pink Jacobinia, Pink Brazilian Plume Flower. Spectacular pink flowers from late spring to fall. Butterfly and hummingbird attractor. The plant is relatively cold hardy to light freeze and grows back from roots even if leaves are damaged.

One of the garden favorites, this is a vigorous, evergreen or semi-evergreen vine bearing highly fragrant flowers adorned from spring intermittently through late summer. They are followed by blue-black berry-like fruit that attract birds. This Japanese honeysuckle has a lush foliage of purple-tinged, oval leaves throughout the growing season. Native to eastern Asia. Grows up to 10-30 ft.

Lonicera heckrottii - Everblooming Pink Honeysuckle. Also referred to as Lonicera periclymenum Serotina. A hybrid between Lonicera x americana and Lonicera sempervirens. It is valued for the long blooming period and the bright colors of its flowers - bright pink-and-yellow. Cold hardy, drought resistant.

Royal Creeper. Splendid tender, evergreen, woody vine with leathery leaves. Beautiful thick bluntly ovate leaves on twining stems which reach 8-10ft or more, large clusters of white Azalea shaped pendant bells with a hint of cream yellow. Extremely delicate and pretty climber. Winter bloomer.

Brazilian candles. One of our most interesting shrubs. A vertical grower with green leaves and unusual dark pink and purple upright flowers with blue stamens that look like they are not fully opened. Flowers cover the whole plant sometimes. This plant excudes on stems and leaves, and after the liquid dries out, it leaves very attractive crystals, shining in the sunlight.

Shaving Brush Tree. One of the coolest looking flowering trees, this fast-growing tree bears spectacular showy staminate flowers in the spring. It usually has no leaves at that time, which serves to show off the large and striking blooms.
