Pitcher plant does well in both cooler or warmer conditions. Tubby pitchers may be constricted at the waist, pale green to red-infused, while the stems are compact. Passive pitfall traps produced at the tips of the leaves trap and digest small insects. Color of the pitchers light-green, often with light or dark-red or violet spots.
Nepenthes are extremely versatile and adaptable to many different growing conditions. The number one choice to try on a windowsill or tank, very easy, vigorous and attractive.
Do not fertilize these plants with dry fertilizer! They get all their food from "eating" insects! If you are growing the plant where it cannot catch insects for long periods, you can add an occasional small insect such as a fly, a cockroach or a few very small insects to mature pitchers. Many types benefit from very mild, diluted liquid orchid fertilizer such as SUNSHINE Orchidasm, and solution should be added only to the pitchers when they are 3/4 filled with water.

Nepenthes x St. Gaya is a compact, easy-to-grow hybrid of N. khsiana x (ventricosa x maxima). It is a vigorous growing carnivorous tropical pitcher plant with large upright pitchers with cherry red speckles on yellow-green backgrounds. The trap mouths are wide and oval. Its parent species are quite adaptable, growing in the open or shade, among grasses and shrubs. It is very cold tolerant, but prefers warm, humid, bright conditions. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets. It is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather with a minimal transition period. It is a good Nepenthes for beginners.

Oxalis triangularis var. purpurea - unusual oxalis with large, dark purple leaves with a pattern design. Pink flowers. An eye stopper! Small perennial, will take both sun or shade. Cute container plant, and it is edible too! Tastes like grape skins.
Young plants have smaller leaves, then they will grow large up to 3" wide as the plant matures.
This plant may go semi-dormant in winter, just reduce watering, and new leaves are coming within a few weeks.

Madagascar Palm - a weird succulent with a thick, spiny gray trunk covered with 2 inch spines and the foliage is arranged spirally at the top. Water sparingly and do not fertilize.

Rainbow Peperomia, Ginny Peperomia, Baby Rubber Plant. Pretty variegated leaves grace Peperomia Ginny. Also known as Tricolor or Rainbow, the parent species radiator plant hails from the West Indies and Venezuela. It is an herbaceous tender perennial and a very popular houseplant. This cultivar has an upright growth habit and large leaves make it a good choice for containers. Ginny has thick elliptical leaves which are medium green edged in creamy white blushed with rosy-pink.
Peperomias are generally very easy to grow. Allow the soil of potted specimens to become somewhat dry between watering. Outside, red-edged peperomia prefers shady location. High ambient humidity is required for best looks and growth. Plant in containers or interior landscapes and as an unusual groundcover in frost-free humid areas.

An easy to grow perfect houseplant with round waxy variegated leaves. Blooms with small greenish-white flowers on spikes. Need bright indirect light; let dry before watering.

Radiator plant, False Philodendron. This perfect houseplant has bright emerald leaves and is a very fast grower and requires minimum care. Philodendron x selloum (bipinnatifidum) Super Atom - a rare hybrid, gorgeous subtropical plant with a reputation for being hardy and stable. Staghorn fern (Stagshorn). Showy, tropical looking epiphyte that can be grown on a tree or in a large hanging basket. It is able to grow high in the trees of the rainforest, often grows in large masses. Long, pendulous, much bifurcated fertile fronds produce spores on special cup shaped appendages. Basal fronds form a crown shaped basket.

Camphor plant - previously called as Ocimum kilimanscharicum. Wonderful scent! Very rare herb great for ground cover, xeriscape or rock garden, needs no care, grows fast, very drought tolerant. Plant it along walkway and enjoy pleasant scent as you walk by or brush on it.

This is a succulent plectranthus with small bright green, serrated leaves. It has a long bloom period of narrow 12 inch spikes of lavender blue flowers. In nature, it is found growing in full sun in hot dry rocky ground inland of Durban, South Africa. In gardens there, it is used as a vigorous ground cover and has been found suitable as a green roof plant. It's a tough groundcover that prefers dry conditions and grows in both sun or semi-shade. The shallow root system makes it ideal for shallow dry soil. Try it as a succulent groundcover for rockeries, slopes, or planted around Aloes or other large succulents. However be cautious, as it grows rapidly and might smother less vigorous smaller plants and can be damaged by the lightest frost. It does make an excellent potted plant where it has a more compact habit.

Elephant's Food, Elephant Bush, Baby Jade. This interesting plant can be used as an indoor bonsai where sunlight or strong artificial light is sufficiently available. The common names derive from the succulent nature of the plant's leaves and stout trunk. The diameter of the trunk can grow to 9" or more.
In Africa, it is a favorite food for both Elephants and Rhinoceros, and is grown in farms for feeding both animals and people. The foliage when eaten raw, steamed, lightly boiled, or especially stir-fried, is not only delicious but actually very nutritious, containing more beneficial Beta 3 fatty acids than most fish.

Spectacular bloomer! With foliage resembling an Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum), Blue Flame is a rare epiphyte from the rainforests of the Amazon jungle. This is a spineless tropical cactus that blooms bright purple flowers. Flowers emerge along the leaf edges from late spring through early summer, and blooms for a couple of weeks. Early springtime flowers are magenta, but summer flowers have the distinctive blue tip on the magenta flower. Mature leaves are about 12" long. Blue Flame prefers a hot, humid environment similar to its jungle habitat. Grow in porous cactus soil or Adenium Mix in partial sun to bright, indirect light.

Dwarf Tree Jasmine. A very rare small Thai tree with extremely fragrant flowers. The scent resembles roses, juicy fruit, candies, fine cologne all together and can be smelled from many yards away. Leaves are very ornamental and have a fountain-like architecture. In Thailand, the tree symbolizes simplicity, endurance, advancement, and peacefulness. Extract from these flowers is used in village pharmacy as relaxant and aphrodisiac.

Shingle plant earned its common name because of the way it climbs. As it grows, it produces aerial roots along its stem that secure it to a vertical surface. Its foliage also tends to grow flat against the support, giving the effect of lush green roof shingles. A climbing houseplant, shingle plant grows and looks best with a porous support on which to ascend. It's relatively slow growing, but can get several feet tall indoors. Eventually, with good care, it becomes a striking floor plant.apex acute with a tiny tubule.
Water shingle plant as the top two or three inches of the potting mix starts to dry to the touch. Take care not to overwater. If it stays wet for extended periods, its root may suffocate and rot.
Shingle plant prefers above-average humidity levels and can suffer if the air is too dry. Boost humidity in its environment by growing it in a large terrarium, over a large pebble tray, near a small humidifier, or grouped together with other houseplants.
